Captain Mike reports good catches of Bluefish at Cape May Point and other areas around Cape May and Wildwood. We are fishing on Saturdays and Sundays at 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The Bluefish has been Snapper Sized, though larger 1-2 lb fish have also been caught in the mix. Some larger weakfish have been seen in Delaware Bay. Some Triggerfish have been caught on days when birds and blues are scarce. The mixed bag of Fall has been successful despite worries over regulations on Sea Bass and Flounder.

We plan to go fishing for Sea Bass starting October 22, 2017 when the season opens. the Bag limit proposed in 15 fish per person with a 12.5″ size limit in the State of New Jersey.

The inshore reports have started to improve for prospects of Striped Bass. Fishing for Stripers should start in November and Captain Jeff is looking forward to Striper Fishing.

In other news, it is official, long time mate, James Hyndman has completed all criteria for his 100 Ton Master Captains License from the United States Coast Guard. Captain James will be joining the roster for the 2017-2018 schedule. We look forward to his catches and reports in the coming months.
