October has been a hit or miss month of Sea Bass fishing. Not because of the fish. The weather has been the deciding factor in whether or not the fishing was good or bad. strong North East and South West winds have kept us at the dock and many of the trips we did make were hard fought. As we approach the end of October, the final days have been excellent. The wind laid down, the seas are under three feet and the fish are chewing! We have been making a few of our Wreck specials with Captain Rob, and we have had a few success stories with near limit catches of Sea Bass. Some other oddities have included Porgies and Triggerfish. As of October 26, 2025 the water temp is still up around 62 degrees- tho cooler nights may bring it down. We know you want to go striper fishing and we would love to go, however the fish that are here are in the back bays or in the surf. We miss the days of hitting the Cape May Rips and finding the fish ripping up the bunker in Delaware Bay. When will that return is a favorite question and we honestly do not have an answer. So we fish for the fish that are here! Sea Bass fishing continues.
