2 kids holding a handful of fish they caught

Captain Mike reports that we have transitioned to targeting Kingfish and Weakfish. The early Summer season showed us some good Fluke fishing. The Summer waters of Cape May have warmed up and the Kingfish bite has turned up. The fish are a smaller fish in general, smaller hooks are the order. The bite is pretty good. There have been some excellent catches making for some great pan frying fare. There are also wekafish mixed in with the Kingfish. Just because many food fishermen are targeting the Kingfish does not mean that Fluke are off the table. Fluke are still caught in the same areas, but with less frequency. The Flounder are there and occasionally a keeper shows up. Our Night trips with Captain Stan on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday have produced mixed results of kingfish along with the occasional Shark.
