Welcome to Miss Chris Fishing
PARKING POLICY
Free marina parking is limited to specific spaces. Please do not assume parking at the Miss Chris Marina is parking for your specific trip. Please be specific when asking where to park. State you are going either 4-hour fishing or 8-hour fishing aboard the Miss Chris or Lady Chris. Or, if you are there for a private charter, please state the name of the private charter. Please request that one of the following people verify your parking spot: Bob, Capt Mike, Capt Jeff, Jim, Judy, or Gavin. If Bob is grumpy, ask Mike or Jim.
Please note: On-street free parking is available and encouraged.
RENTAL ROD POLICY
We have fishing rods and reels available for rent aboard the boat. Rods are newer Gull Reels rods and reels are either Penn Long Beach or Jigmaster or Senator or Shimano TLD Reels. The line on our reels is Ande or Suffix Monofilament. We do our best to keep our tackle in top condition and we appreciate our guests doing the same. The total rental rod package would cost $100 to buy at any tackle shop. Lost or stolen rods will require a $100 replacement fee. Please do everything in your power to keep the fishing rod and reel in the boat and in proper working order. Failure to treat our tackle with respect will result in the loss of the rental rod without a refund.
TICKET / RESERVATION POLICY
Both purchased tickets and reservations made for Cape May Cruises, Miss Chris Boats, and the Lady Chris fishing boat are held until 30 minutes prior to departure. After the 30-minute threshold, pre-purchased tickets may be automatically rescheduled for a future trip if capacity is reached. Reservations are forfeited. In the busy summer months, one should consider that there will be traffic on the roadways and this will slow or impede your path to the marina.
PRIVACY POLICY
We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We may collect personally identifiable information when you visit our site. We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information, and the page(s) you visited. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone.
SECURITY POLICY
Your payment and personal information are always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
REFUND POLICY
All sales are final and all tickets are non-transferable. In the event of trip cancellation, issued by the captain of the vessel, a refund is possible within 30 days of the canceled trip. After the 30 day period, a canceled trip ticket is only valid for a future trip. The ticket holder can opt in the event of a canceled trip to transfer the ticket to another trip, subject to availability.
BOARDING PASS POLICY
All tickets and vouchers must be redeemed for boarding passes prior to boarding any vessel. Free marina parking is limited. Please be specific with the name of the vessel, Miss Chris, with 4-hour fishing or 8-hour fishing when parking. Please do not assume parking spaces are valid for your intended trip. Ask Bob in the Tackle Shop, or Jim, or Capt Mike or Capt Jeff where to park. On-street free parking is available and encouraged.
WEATHER POLICY
Trips sail rain or shine. The vessel can safely and comfortably accommodate passengers in a dry, climate-controlled cabin. In the event of inclement weather, the trip will still sail and no refunds will be provided. See our refund policy. In the event a trip is canceled due to weather, a rain check may be offered or your trip rescheduled.
SPECIALTY CRUISE POLICY/ FIREWORKS CRUISE
All trips and prices subject to change. Fireworks are not the property of Cape May Whale Watcher, Spirit of Cape May, Miss Chris Boats, or any other boat at the Miss Chris Marina. Cape May Whale Watcher or Miss Chris or Spirit of Cape May is providing a cruise. The quality, number, and timing of fireworks or ability to have fireworks based on weather is at the discretion of Lower Township or Cape May City, not Cape May Whale Watcher. Sea conditions and weather are also beyond the control of Cape May Whale Watcher and Spirit of Cape May and Miss Chris Boats.
VOUCHER POLICY
If you are redeeming a voucher for tickets, you must present your voucher at the red ticket booth. Note, some vouchers are valid for online redemption if purchased after November 1, 2016. In this case, your voucher carries a monetary value on capemayfisherman.com that you may redeem through online booking. Your voucher must be exchanged for a boarding pass prior to boarding and you may not board the vessel without a boarding pass. Everyone in your party must possess a voucher, no matter their age. The discounts on this website, our Cape May Fisherman Miss Chris printed material, and available through social media are not applicable with voucher deals. No person rides for free with voucher redemption and vouchers are subject to restricted times of departure, dates, and capacity. You must call a minimum of one week in advance of your trip date and schedule your reservation. While making your reservation, you must state you possess a voucher and intend to utilize it for this reservation. Failure to state your intention to utilize your voucher will result in your voucher being ineligible for redemption at the time of your reservation. Vouchers are not valid until 24 hours after purchase. Tickets may always be purchased online or in-person with the use of a voucher to ensure a place aboard the boat. Please arrive one hour prior to departure. Please be specific when parking. Free marina parking is limited. Free on-street parking is permitted.
TRIPS AND PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE POLICY
All trips and prices are subject to change. Shoulder season trips are subject to a minimum number of 12 passengers.
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY
You are responsible for yourself, your actions, and your abilities. If you are a parent or a guardian you are responsible for the actions of your children or those you give care to. While aboard the vessel you should always remain near your children. You should listen to the announcements made by the captain of the boat. The captain and crew are there to advise you in safe practices aboard a boat, such as “Hold on, sit down, no jumping, no climbing.” The beginning of every trip includes announcements pertaining to life-saving equipment aboard the vessel as required by the United States Coast Guard, as well as the location of this equipment. Also mentioned at the beginning of every trip is: “Parents and guardians, your children are your responsibility. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Also, rules for everyone on board, adults and children alike: no running, no jumping, no climbing. You should have both feet on the floor while standing. If asked to have a seat, take a seat. It is not optional.” The ocean can be a dangerous place and when it is in motion the waves put you in motion. Common sense is required of all passengers. We want to have fun, but safety will always come first.
DOG POLICY
Dogs are allowed aboard the vessel outside the cabin.
